The Diamond Tree is a giant Karri tree located 10km south of Manjimup on the SW Highway. It is one of the 3 active climbing trees that remain from the 1930s - 40s when these trees were used as fire
lookout posts during the summer bushfire season. The tower on the Diamond Tree is still in use. This tree is 51 metres high and like the other 2 climbing trees in the area is pegged with metal spikes that create a staircase for climbers to scale the tree up to the
lookout platform at the top.
