Muchea is a suburb in the Shire of Chittering with a postcode of 6501. The town is surrounded by shrub and woodlands, and colourful wildflowers during spring really complement this picturesque town. Muchea is becoming a larger industry as the Shire's population grows. Some of the industries within the region include citrus growing, vineyards, metal and concrete fabrication, mechanical, earthmoving, building and transport. Muchea is historically significance for the John Glenn interpretive Centre detailing the astronaut John Glenn's flight over Perth in 1962.
