The track off the
Connie Sue Hwy west to Point Sandercock is
well travelled and easy to negotiate. Once you are on the western side of the breakaway follow the track south until it comes to a dead end. Here you will see a large steel framed trig station on a prominent point on the breakaway, it’s a relatively easy climb up to the top. At the top, as
well as looking at this interesting trig station, you can also enjoy fantastic
views of the country to the South, the West and the North.
The point was named by Frank Hann in June 1903, probably after Mr. H. Sandercock who was the chemist at
Laverton.
