Information

The gold mining town of Big Bell was gazetted in 1936 & in the population peaked in 1954 at at 850 Bell Bell township declined rapidly following the mine closure in 1955 & is the town is a deserted site with tourist signs and stories. A fascinating place to explore.The Big Bell Mine has now been reopened and is a modern operation.
