The Puntawarri community was set up as an outstation of the
Wiluna and
Jigalong communities. It was served by a
bore, electrical/solar station and supported numerous houses. As with so many of these communities, it has become abandoned by the traditional owners who have returned to the larger settlements. It’s isolation has meant that it has been largely protected from vandals and damage.
