Derby and 410km from
Kununurra. Signposted access off the
Gibb River Road (30km). Mt Elizabeth is a working cattle station and offers travellers accommodation with meals and camping at the
homestead but no fuel. Areas for fishing and swimming located 30mins drive from
camp.The station also offers their guests day tours tours to numerous gorges (including Bachsten) and guided
rock art tours. The property has a number of Windjana and Bradshaw Aboriginal rockart sites. Scenic plane flights are also available. More adventurous and experienced self-sufficient travellers with high-range 4WD vehicles may purchase a $15 permit to travel on the Munga Track via Bachsten
Camp to
Walcott Inlet. Formally operated by station owners Peter and Pat Lacy and family, the station was sold to a Chinese consortium in 2016, but was brought back to Australian ownership by the Burton family, who also own Kilto Station, Carson River, an abbitoir and The Station Store in
Broome.
