The Edgar Ranges is a 200km long series of ranges which start about 100km SE from
Broome, and are the northern boundary of the
Great Sandy Desert. Erosion of the cliffs causes some spectacular scenery and colour. It was made famous in the news in 1999 after the discovery of missing tourist Robert Bogucki was found there near the southern end after his failed attempt to cross
the desert between Sandfire and
Fitzroy Crossing.
