First in the Snowy Scheme, opened in 1955. Two 30 MW units generating as a run of the river station, giving a rated 60 MW capacity. Both units upgraded with a more efficient turbine with 1950's technology replaced after 60 plus years. Original turbine runners now at the Snowy Museums- one at
Adaminaby and the other at
Cooma. Unit 1 generator output now 38 MW.
