Mareeba Heritage Museum and
Visitor Information Centre is your entry to our beautiful region and your pathway to understanding the rich and varied history of
Mareeba.
If you’re looking for tours or accommodation, our friendly staff and volunteers are here to help. We have free
parking, free WIFI, a coffee house and
heritage gift
shop and are open almost every day.
The
Mareeba Heritage Museum is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of
Mareeba’s culture and
heritage; and to motivate visitors and locals to explore the culture and diversity of the
Mareeba Shire and surrounding region. Some of the first exhibit pieces of the Museum included the windmill, a rainwater tank and the Rail Ambulance, followed by artefacts for the Indigenous Exhibit and from the
Mareeba Rodeo Museum.
Please note the
Mareeba Heritage Museum and
Visitor Information Centre share the same opening hours, which are Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm and 8am – 3pm on weekends. The last admission time to the Museum is 1-Hour prior to closing.
