Burke and Wills arrived here on 3/11/1860. Again Wills was not impressed that the guides were sending north west when he knew they should be heading nort or north east. the explanation was that there was water. However after walking through and around the edge of the Caryapundy swamp they set
camp here and had to dig through mud to get water.
