Burke and Wills camped on the Wonnaminta Creek on 27/10/1860. At this stage the expedition had been taking advice of the aboriginal guides who were taking then from one
water hole to another albeit in a zig zag way and further westward than Wills had intended. The aboriginals were telling Wills no water in the creek and Wills was starting to distrust the guides as a few times they had disagreements on which direction to take. However there was ample water which led Wills to really doubt the aboriginal reliability and guidance.
