Burke and Wills arrived here on12/11/1860. The
Darling River had gouged big sand cliffs which made it difficult for the animals to get water. The simmering dispute between Burke and Landells kept on, with both setting up separate camps sites. Wills was the go between trying to keep things civil between the parties. The next day Burke and his "team" up and left at 7.30am with no discussion with Landells who was left behind to follow the tracks left behind. again this
camp site is on private property.
