Burke and Wills arrived at Morris' Prungle outstation on 21/9/1860. Today there is no public access as it is on Private Property. At this point in time Burke was having trouble with distances traveled each day due to the Mallee Scrub and boggy conditions. The Bullock wagons were slow and had difficulty climbing small rises due to the conditions. Burke split the wagons from the camels and saddle horses and took just 4 days to reach
Tarcoola. The Wagons took a similar route but stopped more frequently and took 12 days to do the same distance. This slow progress was to have far reaching issues later for the expedition.
