Free camping at
Dillon Beach.
Access is via 4x4 only sand track at the end of a very corrugated road, which is council maintained to about 3 quarters of its length.
Good for tents, roof-top tents.
May be accessible by off-road camper.
Be prepared for a new pin-striped look.
Sand can be very powdery. We decided not to take our off-road caravan in, and did the drive next day - turned out to be the best decision, as the track is narrow with a couple of tight turns.
Beach access is available at several points.
The beach itself is several kilometres of driveable sand, with accesses at both ends. This marked location is not a difficult access.
There are NO facilities, just a
clearing behind the dunes.
