These fragile gypsum outcrops are of great Aboriginal and scientific importance. They were once the highest dune crests in this area. The first European to visit the Knolls was David Lindsay on January 11th 1886.
They are rare gypsum outcrops and are fragile by nature as
well as being considered of great scientific significance. They also provide the highest
vantage point in the area. Please treat them with respect and don't drive on them.
