Mount Alberga is a low, time worn range situated in the station country north of the
Oodnadatta Track and on
Lambina Station. The
hill sits some kilometres to the south of the Alberga River which marks the western edge of the
Pedirka Desert. The original route of the
Oodnadatta passed by on the northern side of the Mount in between its slopes and the River bed. These days the track has been bypassed by the new section that reaches the Stuart Hwy at
Marla. Many of the bores in the area have fallen into disrepair and the country has largely been destocked.
