Information

Historical mining museum. Loudoun House Museum was established in 1984 and is the oldest high-set timber and corrugated iron house in North Queensland. It was entrusted to the people of Irvinebank by the Queensland government as a museum reserve in trust.

The museum has a fine collection of local history on display as well as a very good collection of photographs, documents, newspapers, books and journals, which are used regularly by people researching family history in the area.

Worthy of a visit in a lovely town full of history.

Open 7 days a week 10:00 am to 4.00 pm. Closed Christmas day and Good Friday.

In times of extreme weather it’s best to phone ahead to check opening times and road conditions.
