Mount Ngun Ngun is the sixth tallest of the Glass House Mountains. The Glass House Mountains National Park is noted for its distinctive craggy peaks that tower above the surrounding landscape.
Formed by volcanic activity millions of years, these ancient rocky outcrops are of special significance to the Gubbi Gubbi Aboriginal people.
The Mount Ngungun summit walking track is a 2.8 kilometre trail that begins in open forest and offers great
views of Mount Tibrogargan, Mount Coonowrin and
Mount Beerwah from
the summit. Part way up the mountain there is a great view of Tibrogargan and the track passes a small
rock overhang. Don't forget to pack your camera as you'll find a 360 degree panoramic view of the coast and hinterland at the top!
