Raspberry Falls has become a popular destination and the track takes walkers through rainforest, along the edge of the beautiful Raspberry Creek (and sometimes into the creek itself so be prepared) and offers splendid scenery. The track is clearly cut and marked with pink tape. The creek has some sandy stretches, but can be littered with boulders, trees and fallen timber. Rocks at the bottom of the falls can be slippery so be aware.
The Falls are reached firstly by car from
Ingham through
Trebonne, cane fields, cattle paddocks and up to Mt Fox. Part way up is a
lookout offering spectacular viewing of the valley below on a clear day.
From
the junction of Ewan/Furber Rd keep straight ahead on Mt Fox Road. After 6.4km, turn right onto Oak Hills Rd (dirt) and follow for a further 5.4km to
the junction with the Western Raspberry Break road (not signed). You can either park here and walk the 1.6km down the rainforest-lined dirt road to where the single track starts (1.6km on the left) or to shorten the walk, drive down the firebreak road with one
creek crossing suited to 4WD vehicles.
