Located just inside the eastern side of the mouth and curves south from the low lateritic Sunshine Point for 500 m into the 1 km wide sediment-choked river mouth. It is a low, narrow crenulate beach, fronted by the myriad of sand shoals and channels of the shallow mouth, and backed by densely vegetated beach ridges.
