Baniyala Recreation Reserve - NT

The Baniyala Recreation reserve is about 10km from the Aboriginal Community of Baniyala and overlooks the escarpment into Blue Mud Bay. There are about 10 designated camping sites, all with tables and fire pits, plus there is a "Long Drop” with a view. All camp sites have views over Blue Mud Bay. Along the beach there are plenty of access areas to put a boat in and go fishing out into Blue Mud Bay.
East Arnhemland traveller's permit is required and upon arrival you must go to the Baniyala community shop to register and pay. The cost of camping is $25 per night, longer stays are negotiable.
A person has to be completely self sufficient and trailers MUST be a true offroad design with good ground clearance and proven 4WD ability.
