Located on the edge of the river at corner of Blair & Byrne Streets you'll see a statue/art display of a fish (cod) - however from that point look out into the water at the tree stump - the burl growing from the side of the tree is shaped like a Bullocks head, hence the name of this site. Local fable says that when the river is high enough that the Bullock's head is "drinking" then the town will flood. New signage tells the tale.
