Lookout commemorates a long term member for the area in the Queensland Parliament. It sits atop
Peak Hill near the boundary between the
Boulia and Diamantina Shire areas.The
lookout is easily accessed from the Diamantina Developmental Road by a sealed access road. The climb is on the steep side but reasonable for most caravans, The site has a
toilet, rubbish
bins, sheltered picnic tables and a number of environmental and historical information signs. And panoramic
views. It is used as an over night stop by many travellers. The
rest area is exposed and can be subject to strong winds.
