Wallabadah is a small rural community in the
New England Highway south of
Tamworth in NSW. It has a
population of about 750. It is known for its annual country race meeting and as the
home of Australia's only memorial to the First Fleet that takes the form f memorial gardens.
The town hosts a quality community sponsored RV
camping area which is free but a donation of $10 per RV is requested to help fund
the gardens.
The town boasts an hotel, small cafe/coffee
shop, service station at the southern end of the town and, I think, a
general store.
