Information

Unmarked and difficult to find, but it is here. Ask at the tourist information centre. Burke and Wills arrived her on 15/9/1860 and spent 2 days crossing the Murrumbidgee River. It was here that Burke 1st noted that the supply wagons were too slow and delaying progress, so he offloaded some supplies. Water was discarded as there was ample around. He also reduced the size of the Expedition. It was questionable if this was to increase the pace or to save money!
