The largest of numerous small
granite rock outcrops in the area, collectively known as
Yowie Rocks. The naming of these rocks is a little unclear, however the Yowie is part of Australian folklore with roots in Aboriginal oral stories. Yowie's aren't believed to be dangerous but have been known to throw rocks and sticks. Perhaps there's a story in this region about the presence of these rocks as they are the most notable feature in otherwise flat terrain.
Used as a
bush campsite by 4WD travellers passing through.
