This park commemorates the miners who lost their lives in
Cobar mines. Outdoor sculptures include bronze miner, a restored stamper battery from the Mount Boppy
Mine, a 15m high poppet-head from the New
Cobar Mine, and loader from the CSA
Mine and the head frame and winder from the Old Chesney
Mine. Set in a delightful green park with lovely birdlife, this is a nice spot to enjoy a break and free.
Visitors are also welcome to use the free barbeque facilities, picnic areas and
toilets.
