At the terminus of the PAR, there is a short walk from the
carpark to the shores of Lake Eyre North. SA parks have provided some information and there is a
plaque commemorating the 1964 land speed record. The clouds and sky tend to merge with the horizon over the lake, with or without water, and it can be a disappointing vista on overcast days.
