Occupying the former Warden’s Court Building (1898), the grandest of
Coolgardie’s surviving goldrush-era buildings, the Goldfields Exhibition Museum is a treasure trove of artefacts and photographs depicting
Coolgardie’s glory days. A highlight is a superb photographic panorama of old
Coolgardie. In the historic courtroom upstairs, you’ll find the internationally famous Waghorn bottle collection, one of the finest you’ll see anywhere in the world.
Located at 62 Bayley St (Great Eastern Highway), the Goldfields Exhibition Museum also serves as the
Coolgardie Visitor Centre, and is the official starting point of the Golden Quest Discovery Trail. It is open daily from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and 10am-3pm on weekends and public holidays.
