Wallaroo Rock is a typical
granite rock that has been walled to collect the water in a
dam that was used for the steam trains. It is a nice place to visit and has been managed by DPAW to provide a
camping area (free) with with shelters and long drop
toilets.
Access - There is a dirt road from Woolgangie
Rock and
dam, adjacent to the Great Eastern Highway and 65km west of
Coolgardie, that goes north to
the rock. It is signposted, but not passible in the wet.
The alternative way to get there is to drive North from Bullabulling until you get to the trans line access road, drive west along this road for about 35km until you meet the road across the rail line and going to
the rock, about 7km.
