Sea Acres National Park is one of the largest and least disturbed remnants of coastal rainforest in NSW.
The 1.3km accessible elevated rainforest boardwalk at Sea Acres Rainforest Centre is an inspiring experience. Enjoy the sights, sounds and tranquility of rare subtropical rainforest. Explore the rainforest at your own pace with self guiding information or take a guided tour with a local volunteer rainforest guide.
Along the boardwalk you’re likely to see rainforest birds, like the scarlet robin, feeding and nesting in tree branches. But keep an eye out too for goannas and the slithering diamond python. Allow 30 minutes for the boardwalk and please wear flat walking shoes – the boardwalk may be slippery when wet. Boardwalk entry fee applies.
The Boardwalk is open 9am-4.30pm (Monday to Sunday) and closed Christmas Day.
The Centre also includes a gift
shop, stocking a range of educational toys, arts and crafts and unique souvenirs, an eco-gallery with changing exhibitions of local artworks on environmental themes and provides information about National Parks and Nature
Reserves of the Mid North Coast Region. The Centre also offers an education program for school groups (K-12) and special group rainforest and bushtucker tours.
Adjacent to the centre is the Rainforest Cafe, nestled amidst a magnificent grove of bangalow palms. The Cafe serves lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
