Desert Surf Central - WA

Desert Surf Central (aka as Desert Breakaway) is a spectacular breakaway on the north side of the Great Central Road 121 km east of Tjukayirla Roadhouse where there is a sealed section of road. It makes for a pleasant campsite and gives panoramic views from the top. This area has been used as a road workers camp over the years and is well established as a camping spot for passing travellers. The laterite breakaway stands some six metres high and is punctuated by caves and caverns. It is a lovely place to have lunch or camp and wander about exploring the caves. Please consider collecting your firewood along the way before arriving.No service or facilities.
