This small National Park is just 7 kilometres off the
New England Highway and is about 210km (or 2 hours drive) NW of
Brisbane (or 100km north of
Toowoomba). The turn is just north of Cooyar. Its uniqueness lies in the small remnant vegetation that is its main feature. The most prominent trees are Piccabeen Palms which are
home to
Grey-headed Flying Foxes. The park is also known by its former name of Boldery Park. Enjoy easy walks through the vegetation for a day trip. There is no camping in the Palms National Park but there are picnic areas and walking trails.
