Rush Damp camp gound - VIC

Dispersed bush camping by a large dam wall (with little water) surrounded by dry Box forest. A quiet camp by a very low use track.
Open shade to most sites provided by Grey Box and Yellow Gum (White Ironbark) with some heath understory and minimal grass cover to the gravelly soil.
The area shows signs of early settlement - eucalyptus oil tanks, clearings and a grassed house site with two peppercorn trees overlooking a paddock of Whirrakee wattle. Spectacular wildflowers in spring.
