Variety Club 4WD Event
30th July - 7th August

This event receives massive media exposure on the television, in newspapers and will also be mapped (via satellite tracking devices in our vehicle as we participate in the event through the Pilbara and Gascoyne Region of Western Australia) and displayed for public viewing on ExplorOz.com

ExplorOz will also be raising funds online during the event with all proceeds going to this important charity - the Variety Club.

New Trek

You'll find our new Bendethera Valley trek in our Central NSW region. It's a nice short trip within easy reach of Canberra through the Deua National Park offering good 4WDing along fire trails, caves and pleasant camping alongside the Deua River. This now makes 86 Trek Notes Australia-wide on ExplorOz - free to all site users.

Share Track Files

Introducing PointPlace - a place on the internet where you can exchange your OziExplorer track files. Put simply, PointPlace will be the place you go to browse, download or even upload waypoints, plot files and maps on demand (digital maps). It is unique to ExplorOz.com and it relies on you to put the data in, so that you can get the data out. PointPlace will soon have many facets, with the first available to all users now called "Plot Swap".

PlotSwap is available to all users to freely upload an OziExplorer recorded track file in .plt format for online mapping and sharing with others. ie. you drive it, you upload & share it, we map it using iMapPlot (a product we have developed to produce online maps).

These files can be downloaded if you have PointPlace credits. These can be interfaced with OziExplorer/GPS. All members have been awarded 200 credits. (We will soon advise how you can earn/buy additional credits).
