ExplorOz Newsletter - Issue 47

Since our last newsletter, just 3 weeks ago, we've had more new business join the ExplorOz community. The more our Customer Database grows, the more useful we know it becomes to you in selecting who to do business with. Remember, by choosing to support the business that list on ExplorOz, you are helping keep this site running.

Peter Glade-Wright, our SA Advertising Sales Coordinator is currently on 3mth tour through outback SA and WA. He's been handing out lots of stickers and talking to potential customers along the way as well as enjoying his trip. When passing through Perth last week they dropped in to say hello and tried to get out on a fishing charter off Fremantle with David but the 5.5m swells last week put an end to that plan. Peter has brought 4 new advertisers to ExplorOz, including 2 National advertisers so it was good to reward him in person with his commission cheque. Well done Peter.

We are also pleased to announce that as at 1st July 2003, Juliana Wassink was made a permanent member of our staff. Juliana has been working with us on a casual basis since February 2002 and is now fully responsible for order processing and stock management in the ExplorOz Adventure Shop. Juliana is a full time university student and hopes to one day work in remote communities teaching disadvantaged children with special needs. She was raised in country Victoria and shares an affinity with the bush that ideally suits her role in ExplorOz. She has also fully managed the shop during during our absence from the office both this year and during last year's ExplorOz field trips so she is a very valuable part of the ExplorOz Team. 

Please note that Juliana works Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and we only process orders on these days, with payments being batch processed at 9am on each day. All orders are posted by Australia Post in the afternoon mail. Each order will quote the number of days to get your order to you assuming there are no delays in processing your payment. The time quote takes into the account the fact that we process orders every 2nd day so in some cases you'll get your order earlier than quoted.

Reminder - if you try to phone us please remember to call during normal business hours weekdays only and don't forget the time difference to WA!
