Hi ExplorOz Reader,

It's time to ExplorOz but beware that tropical conditions are currently ravaging northern Australia in both the west and east with two cyclones sitting off our coasts in both the Far North Queensland area, and the NW of WA. Travellers are advised to reconsider camping in these areas and to change plans to avoid travel through these zones until next week.

Cyclone Nathan in Queensland is forecast to affect the Lockhart River and Port Douglas area before moving away from the coast on Thursday. Gale force winds, heavy rain and flash flooding is possible for parts of the North Tropical Coast, Tablelands and Peninsula districts so definitely a travel warning to any Cape York travellers! Meanwhile, Cyclone Olwyn in Western Australia is forecast to intensify as it arrives near Exmouth early on Friday morning. Gales are forecast between Whim Creek and Cape Cuvier, including Karratha, Onslow, Exmouth and Coral Bay and heavy rain and flooding is likely for areas in the western Pilbara and northern Gascoyne on Friday and Saturday.

The effects of Cyclone Olwyn may affect our ability to manage Customer Service (phone calls & emails) on Friday as Adele's office is in the thick of it and she is currently battening down and preparing the generator. All Shop Orders are processed at our warehouse in South Australia however, far from all this mayhem, so online ordering and order dispatch will not be affected. More Weather Here

Despite all this, we hope this newsletter will still inspire you to get away this Easter (3 weeks to go!)

A Special Extra in the Forum

When posts appear in the Forum seeking information or guidance about a subject that is covered by other pages of content on the ExplorOz site (such as Places, Shop, Articles, Trek Notes), our site administrators have the option to tag that page to your post. But what does that mean and how does that help you?

A tagged post means you'll receive an email that advises we've found some relevant information on the site for you. The email will explain that to find the information, you need to open your post (link provided) and then click the tagged article - which appears in a box in the top right hand corner with a picture and description of the article.

In addition, when a content page is tagged to a Forum Post, the post is also back-linked to the content page. This means you can find/read all related Forum posts from the Discussion/Reviews section within any content page. For examples, see the links to Forum posts within the following content pages: Battery Power (Article), Eliot Falls (Places), & HN7 (Shop).

We hope you find this service useful as there are over 90,000 content pages on the website that we know you might not easily find or be aware of!
