Edition 368: 8th January 2015.
Hi ExplorOz Reader, It seems 2015 is going to go just as fast as the year before. Holidays are over and its back to work for most. However it won't be long before Australia Day and the public holiday on Monday 26th January.
| Australia 2015
Are you happy or disillusioned with Australian life as we start 2015? Are we still the lucky country? What about climate change, mining, politics, terrorism, fuel prices... How does regulations for camping, driving, firearms, hunting and other issues affect you? Are we an over regulated country or do these regulations help you feel safe? Do these things contribute to making us a cohesive society? We encourage you to contemplate these ideas on ExplorOz during January and invite you to share your stories, thoughts, reflections and ideas. To get you started - we've posted an interesting article from David Mason (American writer & professor) about Australia onto our Facebook page that is proving very popular. If you haven't seen it yet, take a look and feel welcome to comment. Otherwise post your own Blog or Forum post on this subject on our website. |

| Milestone Challenges
Yesterday we saw the tally of entries in the ExplorOz Wildflower section reach 750, which is a really terrific milestone. We've also just seen the first wildflowers posted for Tasmania. These were entered by Member - Heather L, who is also a first-time contributor to the wildflowers section. It has really taken off, but here's a challenge...Wildflowers went online in early February 2014, so can we reach 1000 entries by the anniversary date?
We've also just ticked over 4000 fans on the official ExplorOz Facebook page. But we have 72,426 registered users on our website and that's what's really important. Who wants to see that figure reach 100,000 users? Just keep using word of mouth, giving us links, and putting your ExplorOz wheel covers and stickers where they can be seen.

| Capitals Count
On ExplorOz, we provide our registered users, visitors and members, with access to manage their own account details. This is a tab called "My Details". You'll find it at the very top of the site as an orange button. The site also offers you auto-login and auto-field completion using these details. Remember to be careful to use capital letters where they count - for proper nouns such as in your name and address. When the site uses these fields to create your Membership card, or address a parcel to you, then it will print exactly as you have entered it. Take a look now and check that yours is correct. This information is for admin purposes only and is not visible to other site users.
