| Bloomin' News - Daisybushes
or Olearia are members of the huge daisy family (Asteraceae). All
daisies have the familiar daisy-like composite flowerheads made up of
many tiny flowers, often with different types of flowers within the one
flowerhead. There are about 130 different species of Olearia
and they are found mostly in Australia, New Guinea and New Zealand.
Olearias includes softer herbaceous plants, shrubs and even small trees,
unusual among the daisy family. Olearias are tough plants and many are
found in semi-arid areas.
Our database currently lists 4 species. Can you add further samples?

Just added this week is a new Travel Alert blog from our Roads Coordinator - Stuart Highway/WPA Closures for November
|
| New Paper Map - This new paper map of Australia shows major road networks along
with Outback fuel, distances and major national parks. Climate zones are
coloured to show the variances in temperature and rainfall
across the country.
