Today we announce the release of the first ExplorOz mapping product -
EOTopo 200K. This is a 200K topographic map set for the whole of Australia, available on SD/USB and
available for you to load onto PCs, laptops, Android phones and tablets. iOS/iPad users, may need to wait a little while for a compatible solution but this is just around the corner.
The EOTopo 200K data set is an extraction of our current online vector maps (EOTopo Online)
and have been produced at a scale of 1:200 000 (200K) at a high resolution of 200dpi. Buying the maps in first release comes with a Lifetime Upgrade Plan. There are many reasons why this product has been developed, and many advantages too. To find out more, please read the new EOTopo Site Section.

With the release of EOTopo 200K, there have been many improvements in the online version too. As of today, EOTopo Online received the addition of a search function to enable look up of all listed POIs found in the EOTopo database. This feature will also be added to the Mobile version of the page in the near future, so that you can also access this information on the go!
Try out the new map search feature on the EOTopo Page, and don't forget to tell us what you think! Simply submit a review using the Reviews and Discussions tab. As with all ExplorOz developments, these tools and products are created based on consumer demand and feedback.

Queensland Aerial 1080 bating has commenced in the Cape York Peninsular parks. Mahoon Creek road and Cedarvale Road in the Kroombit Tops National Park east of Gladstone, remain closed due to flood damage.
Victoria Some seasonal road closures scheduled to end on 31 October 2013 have been extended until 30 November 2013 due to extensive rain causing unsafe track conditions. The parks affected are Alpine National Park, Great Otway National Park and Yarra Ranges National Park.
South Australia Two prescribed burns are due on 7th November in the Ngarkat Conservation Park and in Block 9 of the Wirrabara State Forest. These are subject to suitable weather conditions and could be delayed by a couple of days.
New South Wales National Parks continue to be affected by fires with 11 parks being closed and 84 with closed area. A further 337 parks have fire bans.
Western Australia The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley advises that there may be water flowing over some Shire roads. They emphasize that it is important not to drive through water of unknown depth or velocity. 4x4 High clearance vehicles are recommended on all gravel roads and caution is required when travelling any Kimberley roads that are currently classified open. Silent Grove Road, Bell Gorge Road, Mt. Hart Road, and Lennard Gorge Roads are all closed due to seasonal closures of the National Parks.
Tasmania Police advise that St Marys Pass, on the Tasman Highway, will be closed, for maintenance, between 9.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m. weekdays from 6 November to 22 November 2013.
