We hope you don't mind but today we bring you the STOP PRESS news that ExplorOz staff will be flying into Brisbane/Gold Coast tomorrow for 2 days only with opportunities for potential advertisers/existing business members to meet up on Thursday 16th, or see us make an appearance at the Dometic Follow the Sun event detailed below. Follow the Sun - End of Tour Party
Michelle will be making an appearance at the Dometic-Waeco Follow the Sun End of Tour Party on Wednesday 15th September. Earlier this year, 3 lucky couples won an RV fitout full of Dometic products valued at up to $35,000 plus a 3 month tour as Dometic Ambassdors, where they had the opportunity to travel, entertain and meet new people whilst showcasing their new products. Each RV fitout was different to suit the chosen winners with one couple driving a Nissan Patrol and towing a Kimberley Camper, the Turner family in a Jayco Poptop 1665 Freedom Caravan, and another couple with a Winnebago Leisure Seeker. The 3 headed off from the tour launch from the Brisbane Caravan and Camping Show in June with a set itinerary to tour different parts of Australia. As a Tour Partner, the ExplorOz logo was featured in all Follow the Sun promotions in printed and web media, on vehicle stickers and all banners and signs used to promote the Follow the Sun Tour, including over 30 Happy Hour events at the various Top Tourist caravan parks visited during the 3 month tour. ExplorOz has also provided Dometic-Waeco Australia, through theirbusiness member profile, with the ability for all 3 groups to publish blogs using the new ExplorOz mobile blog service. Over this time, a total of 185 blogs were created on ExplorOz by the touring Dometic Ambassadors - all done using just their iPhones. In all, these blogs attracted a staggering total of 53,733 views from ExplorOz audiences!! Click here to view them if you missed out. Unfortunately, the "Follow the Sun Tour" depatured just days before we launched EOTrackMe, but their journeys were tracked on the Dometic-Waeco website, which you can see here. And now, the tour is winding up with tomorrow, Wednesday 15th September being the end of tour party. The 3 groups will come together to hold the final Happy Hour and celebrate with the tour partners and special guests Thomo the Cook, Olympic Medalist Brooke Hanson, The Caravan Man, Dometic – WAECO staff, Gold Coast United players, Surfing QLD, Trader Group, Caravan QLD, CIAVIC, CRVA, Kimberley Kampers, Jayco, and Peter Lawler the Gold Coast member, President of Tourism and Fair Trading and of course Michelle Martin from ExplorOz.com. This event is open to all so please come and enjoy the free food & drinks and prize giveaways at the Broadwater Tourist Park, Gold Coast Highway, Southport from 4pm - 6.30pm.
