After great success at the 2014 National Gathering at Trilby Station, I am keen to run another National Gathering, this time close to Alice Springs so that the WA folk have a better chance to attend.
I have been in discussions with Jodie at Ross River Resort and they are keen to allow us to base the National Gathering there.
Some details from Jodie -
"We have a large grassed and shady campground over the river from the historical homestead which is open for viewing and also has a bar and dining room attached. We also have rustic Ensuite cabins on the homestead side for those who don’t want to “rough it too much”.
Check out our website and this link will take you to the page with all the National Parks Fact sheets that I think you will find interesting about the things to do in the immediate vicinity.
One can easily base themselves here for two or three days to explore the East Mac Donnell Ranges. Obviously 4 WD vehicles have access to all things in the area and two wheel drives would be a bit limited but by no means restricted.
We have 30 powered sites at this point and the campground is very large and nestled amongst the ranges."

As per the 2014 Gathering I have decided to hold a Dinner on the Wednesday night (8th of July 2015). Jodie has indicated that they can do a 2 course meal for the same price as this years Gathering $30 per person.
Rates for Ross River Resort are as follows -
Powered sites are $30 p/n
Unpowered sites are $24 p/n
Ensuite cabins – Standard $130 per night
Again as per previous Gathering please bring a raffle prize to be used in the daily raffles, money raised will be given to a charity.
I have decided that the Alice Springs Branch of the Isolated Children's Parents Association be the Charity that the funds raised will be donated to.
ICAP weblink.
With a bit of luck David and Michelle may attend as well (hint hint)
After a great suggestion by Neil, I would like to have a " Christmas in July" theme for the Wednesday night dinner. I would like to ask everyone attending to bring a wrapped unisex gift to a value not exceeding $15 to be placed under the tree and I am sure I can find someone to play Santa (thanks Scrubby) hehehe
There are designated fire pits throughout the campground which are available for use. People can get their own firewood or we have a pile down by my maintenance man’s bus with a wheelbarrow which is $10 per load
