NSW - The Road to the 2010 National Gathering

It seems that there are a few NSW/ACT EO members attending the 2010 National Gathering in Willuna. Steve B and myself are looking for other NSW/ACT attendees to join us for the trip across to the west.

There are two alternatives across NSW starting from Sydney. They are Hay/Mildura or Nyngan/Broken Hill and then the Nullarbor. We are proposing around 500KM per day and have a bit of slack before the official start to the gathering on the 28 June if required.

The proposal at this stage is Sydney, Hay, Mildura, Pt Augusta, Ceduna, Eucla, Baledonia, Kalgoorlie, Willuna however the itinerary is open to discussion.

Update 29 Mar 2010:
Steve and myself will now join Howard(ACT) for the Anne Beadell trip to Willuna leaving Coober Pedy on 22 June 2010.

Update 5 June 2010:
Now departing Sydney a day earlier on the 17th for Coober Pedy to meet up with Howard's group. Will be travelling Hay, Mildura, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy.

V24934	wholehog	1		Hi Riichard, as your aware I was intending to travel Simpson/Gunbarrell to meet at Wiluna. Currently I only have 8 days to do that to get Brisbane to Wiluna by 28th June. Am concerned as to what early winter access is going to be available in the eastern part of Simpson Desert due to ongoing and recent rains further north in QLD influencing water flows south. So it may appear that I may have to join your run and shiver accross the Nullabor paddock yet, will keep you informed. Andrew.
