WE have just spent the last few days in this unique historic small town for their Annual music festival.
We were totally overwhelmed by the beautiful community feel to the place.
The festival venues are set throughout the town and one can wander to which ever musician/band
one wants to listen to. The Yack volunteers are everywhere - helpful - and plenty of them.
They turner their Earth hour into 2 hours and the town is striving to turn themselves in totally solar dependent. What a breath of fresh air to be here.

The coup de tat was the local choir. They performed today - a 100+ - adults and children.
The sound was fantastic and what a beautiful effort . The oldest 80 - youngest 3 and a half!!!

Not the commercial hype of Pt Fairy but certainly a very wonderful experience for those of us not into pushing through crowds of many thousands. The market today was the best one we've ever seen. Unbelievable.

Kev grew up in Allans Flat not far from here and has great memories from this area hence us coming to the festival.
What a bonus.

I wouldn't want to see it become any bigger - it's just right. For us slightly older folk.

Yackandandah is not far from Albury/Wodonga on the Vic /NSW border.
