I was somewhat seedy this morning but not as bad as I believe I ought to have felt! I decided that an invigorating ocean dip would be the best remedy for the jelly head and I was right. Felt a lot better by the time we hit the road to Monkey Mia.John and Julie headed out the same time and we wet them in the car park 28 km later.Monkey Mia supports a tourist resort, café, interpretive centre and a wharf where Catamarans take tours out into the bay. Coffee and a feed was the order of the day and as soon as we sat down. I passed comment that the bloody dolphins would come in the minute our food hit the table. I was right.

I’d given some advice to Amanda the day before namely to wear your shortest shorts, a tight little T-shirt and you’ll definitely by picked to feed the dolphins. I was right again as Pierre the sleazy Belgian volunteer dolphin helper (volunteers from O/S are accepted to spend several weeks as “Dolphin handlers” at Monkey Mia) singled her out as the last person to feed them (“I ‘av saved zee biggest feesh for you”.) Thrilling stuff.

trip would doubtless be attended with much hardship.''
