Seems like the cruiser has been in car mode for so long that I almost forgot what it looks like with the seats out and gear in. So over the last weekend or so the old girl was converted back to travel mode.
Still a few weeks to go but as we all know it takes time to get ready. So here a few pics of the drawer,
water tank, cargo barrier and electrical refit.
I was saying to Michelle that almost everything we fitted to the car when we did the original site pages for the vehicle setup are still the stuff we are using now. See the articles pages for info on these products. I think we need to do an ExplorOz 10 Years On for the car. I am dumping off the videos we recorded also so we may actually may make something of this.
Ok lets start
All this stuff goes in somewhere!
Seats out, Water tank in, wiring found behind panels
Custom water tank fits next to drawers
Closer view of water tank & drawer system
Drawers going in
Drawers in now for the slide and top
Done
And before you comment the the lovely coloured cover over the rear door (AKA the kitchen table) will be recovered in the next few days, that cover not only has had it but I never liked it. Once this is upgraded the tap and fittings will go back on the water outlet.
Additional news for this fitout, The HF and inverter would not power on correctly and they both started making funny hissing noises and upsetting the car stereo etc. I was a little miffed as they are run on totally different cables and connected to two different batteries. However it did not take long to find out that the 11 year old fuse box and cabling had corroded a little and needed a little love to make it
well again - in fact the whole HF fuse system was chucked and some new connections were required. But now all happy and working again.
Till the next instalment..
