About Me

Got a new vehicle at chistmas 2010 see photo above.
the old 1997 toyota landcruiser 80 series 40th anniversary model has gone to a new home.

New vehicle is a 2009 VDJ79R V8 ute with an aluminium canopy set up as camper.
Canopy has kitchen including waeco 50 litre fridge and 2 burner stove on one side with double bed with storage under on the other.
Unit is insulated and fly screened.
able to have change room off rear and has awning with screened annex over kitchen.Have another awning and privacy wall on bed side.
roof basket for firewood on rear of canopy allowed for RTT on front of canopy but RTT hasnt been required.so a 80 watt solar panel sits there instead
under tray toolboxes for tools/recovery gear etc ,60 litre undertray watertank,2 jerry cans mounted under sides of tray provides fuel capacity of 220 litres.
Can fit another 5 jerry cans under tray if 2nd spare also relocated to canopy .this gives total of 320 litres for really remote trips.
other mods to vehicle include.
- bull bar, 12000 lb electric winch, dual battery system, LED lightbar, Alloy side steps, h/r tow bar.
interior- 40 & 80 ch UHFs , GPS running street and oziexplorer navigation. Cd/radio with USB., sat phone, Fire extinguisher, Waeco 12 litre cooler in cabin.
