I've been a camping tragic most of my life. I learnt to drive in a Series 2 Defender. I got back into 4WDing in 1996 in a Hilux. In 2001 we bought a Camper Trailer. Luxury and quick with 3 kids in toe. In 2003 we bought the Prado. This is now highly modified for touring and is a great touring vehicle. Over the years the family has done most of South Eastern Australia, the Flinders, Central Australia, Central Qld, The Cape, the Simpson & next year, the Canning. In the years to come, the Gulf, Kimberly, northern WA, & NT are on the bucket list. Now with the kids all grown up, we camp in an Oztent if the two of us are traveling, otherwise I sleep on my 1980' s swag on a stretcher.
