Today we spent our time exploring around the station with guidance from the locals. This included a trip out to a dry
lake bed which they have planted with wheat and barley. The area covered is huge and the crop is in very good condition. This is not a regular happening and is only due to the 2012 floods which filled the
lake and now that it has dried out they get one good crop off the dampened soil.
We took a walk to a small grave site where a number of people have been buried dating back to the 1860’s.
