Today we headed off from a very nice couple of nights at
Nelia Gaari Station. The welcome and the
bush camping was excellent. The road north to
Wilcannia was good and we were able to make reasonable time, although we weren’t pushing it. Along the way we saw a large number of emu's and the odd stumpy tailed lizard.

There were 2 service stations open in
Wilcannia, we plan to refill tomorrow, on our rest day, as
well as try out the local
IGA store. The new caravan park “
Warrawong on the Darling” is like an oasis in the Desert. Brand new facilities and green soft grass sites, the owners were very welcoming and will make a huge difference to people doing the Darling Run as
well as those heading either North or West through
Wilcannia. It is ideally place about midway through the run and is about 2 kms south of the town on the main road.
